Cassie and Charlie’s story began long before they ever realized it would lead to an eternity of love. They first met as teenagers, Charlie a freshman and Cassie in 8th grade, in gym class. One afternoon, as Charlie sat at the bottom of the bleachers, a group of three girls called his name asking him to sit with them. He didn’t know them, but somehow they knew him. Cassie was in the middle of the group, quietly carrying a crush that would shape the coming years ahead.

From that moment forward, the two of them spent every gym class together, making sure to choose the same activity every semester to be with one another (which made Charlie power through dance class). While the friendship of the group was effortless and natural, there was something different between Cassie and Charlie. They gravitated toward one another and felt a connection growing that was stronger than just a friend from school. Charlie would go out of his way to walk Cassie to her class after gym, always making her laugh on her way to class. One day, out of annoyance, Cassie’s friends handed her over to Charlie, so she could finally tell someone about the show she had just finished, The Haunting of Hill House. That class period was spent walking laps around the gym, with Cassie explaining (and spoiling) the entire plot of the show, in every detail ,while Charlie looked and listened intently. In the midst of Cassie ranting about her show, Charlie sensed sparks flying between them, which made Charlie’s feelings for Cassie grow rapidly. They never knew that a friend in gym class would eventually evolve into who they will spend the rest of their lives with.

Life eventually forced then in seperate paths , and Charlie moved to a different town and lost contact with Cassie. But God was not done with them yet. A couple years later, when Charlie was a junior and Cassie a sophomore, they reconnected. It felt effortless, as if no time had passed at all.

Their love grew steadily and intentionally. Soon, Cassie would introduced Charlie to her parents at Church, an important step that marked the seriousness of their relationship. From that day forward, they continued to choose each other every day, supporting one another and growing together through life’s many ups and downs.

On the 11th of November 2025, at The Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Charlie got down on one knee and asked Cassie to be his, forever. In a moment, that was years in the making, she said yes. What started as a quiet spark in a gym class many years ago had erupted into a wild fire of love defined by laughter, patience, and unwavering devotion, and now the two of them look forward to a lifetime of choosing each other, together.
